Having a ball:  Chief Executive CY Leung (centre) plays boccia on Sport For All Day.

Chief Executive CY Leung joined the public to participate in healthy activities at Tiu Keng Leng Sports Centre today as part of the Leisure & Cultural Services Department's Sport For All Day.

The annual event encourages people of all ages and different fitness levels to take part in sports activities, and raises community support for Hong Kong athletes competing in the Rio Olympics.

Mr Leung and Commissioner for Sports Yeung Tak-keung enjoyed a boccia game, which included people with disabilities.

The department offered free recreation and sports programmes at some of its sports centres and opened most of its leisure facilities to free use today.

It also invited District Councils, sports bodies, major residential estates and private sports clubs to hold activities and offer facilities for the public to enjoy.
