Secretary for Home Affairs Lau Kong-wah today met with Guangdong Department of Culture Director General Fang Jianhong to discuss future co-operation arrangements.
Mr Lau said Hong Kong attaches importance to its connection with Guangdong and hopes to promote regional development in culture and arts.
During the 16th Greater Pearl River Delta Cultural Co-operation Meeting this year, key co-operation achievements and new plans were announced, including the development of the Regional Museum Pass for Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau and discussions on organising exhibitions on the Maritime Silk Road, he added.
Mr Lau also met with Guangdong Sports Bureau head Wang Yuping, and visited the Guangdong Museum.
