November 11, 2015

The latest batch of six samples taken from people affected by lead in drinking water have been found to contain normal levels of lead, the Department of Health announced today.

The samples include five from kindergarten children and one from public housing estate resident.

The department will perform lead exposure assessments for citizens with borderline lead levels and arrange for preliminary developmental assessments for children aged under 12.

The Hospital Authority will arrange health evaluations for borderline cases aged 12 or above.

People can call 2125 1122 for enquiries and to make blood test appointments.

As at 5pm today the hotline had received 7,864 enquiries and arranged 5,754 blood tests.
