The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a case of Legionnaires' disease affecting a 78-year-old man living in Shenzhen.
He fell ill on August 3, was admitted to a hospital in Shenzhen on August 8, and returned to Hong Kong the next day. He was admitted to North District Hospital on the same day.
The clinical diagnosis is pneumonia and he is in a stable condition.
He tested positive for Legionella pneumophila.
The patient was in Shenzhen during the incubation period.
