She then officiated at the lantern-lighting ceremony of the Hong Kong Well-wishing Festival 2015 in Lam Chuen, wishing Hong Kong residents and visitors a prosperous year ahead.

She visited Hong Kong Disneyland to join its Lunar New Year celebration event. Speaking on the amusement park’s programme to support youth development, Mrs Lam hoped that Hong Kong’s design talent can flourish through all sectors’ efforts.

Mrs Lam then toured the airport, meeting Immigration Department frontline staff, Police officers, Customs officers, Department of Health, Food & Environmental Hygiene Department and Airport staff. She extended greetings to them and to the public.

Mrs Lam also visited two families in Wong Tai Sin and presented New Year gifts to them, and visited the 95-year-old Uncle Fook, whom she knew during her tenure as the Director of Social Welfare, and extended her festive greetings.
