Youth development programme launches

July 19, 2014

Around 100 people attended The E-League programme launch ceremony today, to kick off a series of events in support of youth development.

They include principals and teachers from the Eastern District, and secondary school student participants.

Officiating at the ceremony, Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing said the Government is devoted to nurturing young people through education, employment and whole-person development.

He encouraged young people to seize Hong Kong's advantageous position and to further equip themselves to contribute to society's future development.

The first event was a seminar held after the ceremony with former Commissioner of Police Dick Lee; German Pool founder Edward Chan; explorer Rebecca Lee; and four young professionals sharing their experience with programme participants.

Other activities will  include a leadership training camp; visits to Government departments, public bodies and private enterprises; and visits to the Mainland and Seoul.
