The United Arab Emirates has reported an additional Middle East Respiratory Syndrome involving a 40-year-old man, the Department of Health says.
The man from Oman was admitted to two hospitals on February 15 and March 17. The case was confirmed on March 21 and he died on March 24.
He had no recent travel history outside Oman and the Emirates, nor contact with animals or confirmed patients.
This brings the latest global number of confirmed cases to 200, including 85 deaths.
No human infection with this virus has been identified in Hong Kong.
