The Heritage Museum will open an exhibition on the traditional guqin instrument tomorrow.
Under Secretary for Home Affairs Florence Hui today held a soft opening for the exhibition, which runs until March 10.
With a 3,000-year history, guqins are one of the oldest plucked musical instruments in China, and are delicate works of art in their own right, involving woodwork, lacquering, and calligraphy.
The exhibition will highlight the skills involved in the making of a qin and the art of playing the instrument.
It will also display the structure of the guqin and playing techniques.
