Probe launched into girl's death

The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a suspected fatal case of pneumonia involving a nine-year-old girl.
The girl, who had cerebral palsy and epilepsy, was taken to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital with a fever on January 13.
Her condition deteriorated and she died early this morning.
The provisional clinical diagnosis was septic shock with pneumonia.
She tested negative for influenza. Testing for other pathogens is in progress.
