Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So says the Government will waste no time in pushing forward innovation and technology to enhance and diversify Hong Kong's industries, with the establishment of the Innovation & Technology Bureau.
The Legislative Council Finance Committee today approved funding for establishing the new bureau.
Speaking to reporters after the LegCo meeting, Mr So said the bureau will officially be established on November 20.
He noted that if there had been no filibustering in LegCo, the bureau could have been established a lot sooner.
