The Government is pleased to see new faces in the Legislative Council and will continue to work with the legislature, Chief Executive CY Leung says.
Speaking before attending an Executive Council meeting today, Mr Leung said senior government officials will work with legislators, particularly those elected for the first time, noting it is important for the Government and LegCo to work together.
The LegCo election results have nothing to do with anyone's aspiration to be the next Chief Executive, he added.
He said certain radical LegCo members were not re-elected because voters disagreed with their radical behaviour, particularly the filibustering.
