A total of 33 nomination forms for the 2016 Legislative Council Election were received today, the first day of the nomination period.
Fourteen nomination forms were received for the five geographical constituencies, with five from Hong Kong Island, two from Kowloon West, one from Kowloon East, two from New Territories West and four from New Territories East.
A total of 19 nomination forms were received from the 29 functional constituencies.
There are two nominations from the agriculture and fisheries sector, two from the transport sector, one from the social welfare sector, one from the tourism sector, one from the finance sector, one from the sports, performing arts, culture and publication sector, one from the textiles and garment sector, one from the wholesale and retail sector, one from the information technology sector, one from the catering sector and seven from the district council (second) sector.
