National People's Congress Standing Committee Chairman Zhang Dejiang met with more than 200 people from different sectors of the community at the Central Government Offices this morning.
Accompanied by Chief Executive CY Leung, Mr Zhang took a group photo with the attendees before speaking with them.
Mr Zhang said it is in the best interest of Hong Kong to abide by the “one country, two systems” principle and the Basic Law.
He urged people to support the Chief Executive and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, as it is important to unite different sectors of the community and work together for the city’s development.
Mr Leung thanked Mr Zhang for his support for the city and for providing important guidance and reminders for Hong Kong’s future development.
