Secretary for the Civil Service Clement Cheung visited Sham Shui Po today to learn about the district's social services for the elderly, ethnic minorities and youths.
He first toured the Caritas Cheng Shing Fung District Elderly Centre and met with the seniors there.
He then met with the Sham Shui Po District Council Chairman, Vice Chairman and council members.
He later visited the New Home Association's HOME Centre which helps ethnic minorities adapt to life in Hong Kong through courses on language and local culture, integration programmes and counselling services.
He then went to Mei Ho House Youth Hostel to speak with Sham Shui Po District Leadership Service Corps members.
