Chief Executive CY Leung will tour Hengqin and a youth startup project during a visit to Zhuhai today.
Speaking to reporters before departing for Zhuhai this morning, Mr Leung said Zhuhai is an important partner for developing the economy and improving people’s livelihoods.
He noted that both cities have a new cooperation platform with the establishment of the Hengqin New Area within the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone, and that one of Zhuhai’s main concerns is youth development.
Mr Leung added that the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge will be an important link between Hong Kong, Zhuhai and the western coast of the Pearl River Delta.
The Chief Executive is scheduled to meet with Zhuhai municipal leaders to discuss further development during his trip.
