Chief Secretary Carrie Lam visited Tsuen Wan today to meet District Council members and inspect community facilities.

Mrs Lam first met with Tsuen Wan District Councillors to discuss local development and livelihood issues, including community facilities and planning, building management, elderly services, water quality, traffic and transport.

She then went to Yan Chai Hospital to inspect the Community Health & Wellness Centre which opened in February, a Chinese medicine training and research centre, a social enterprise, and the YCH Chan Feng Men Ling Integrated Community Development Centre.

She spoke with young Chinese medicine practitioners, and said she was pleased to learn the hospital supports the Government's policy of providing community and residential day-care services for senior citizens to help them lead a respectful and enjoyable life.

Mrs Lam then went to the Hong Kong Children & Youth Services Belvedere Garden Integrated Centre and chatted with young volunteers and ethnic-minority youths.
