Chief Executive CY Leung visited the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone today.
He was briefed on the development of the area at the Qianhai Exhibition Hall and attended the launch of the Qianhai SIM Card.
Mr Leung was also a guest at the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation & Entrepreneur Hub opening ceremony.
The Hub is operated by the Qianhai Authority, the Shenzhen Youth Federation and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups.
Noting that Qianhai offers a business-friendly environment, Mr Leung said more than 1,000 companies from Hong Kong have set up offices there.
He said young Hong Kong people may seek career opportunities in Qianhai and other places outside of Hong Kong.
