Chief Executive CY Leung and senior government officials attended an official commemoration ceremony today at Hong Kong City Hall Memorial Garden to mark the victory of the Chinese people's war of resistance against Japanese aggression.
The 9am ceremony included a Police Band performance, a choir singing the national anthem, a Police Rifle Squad gun salute, silence in mourning and wreath laying.
About 700 people including judicial officers, Legislative Council members and war veteran group representatives attended the ceremony.
