Chief Executive CY Leung says he values duty visits to Beijing, as they allow both the Hong Kong and Central Governments to follow up on the latest developments.
Speaking to the media at the airport today, Mr Leung said, as Chief Executive, he is responsible to Hong Kong and the Central Government, and so attaches great importance to the annual duty visit, and is well prepared for it.
Through the regular meetings, he said he can brief Mainland officials on Hong Kong’s latest developments, and ask them to support the city’s economic growth.
During his three-day visit, Mr Leung will meet with state leaders and officials to discuss economic and trade development.
