Want to celebrate the Spring Lantern Festival in the traditional way? Then be sure to visit one of the Leisure & Cultural Services Department's three free lantern carnivals February 21 to 23.
They will feature spectacular lantern displays, a Chinese traditional stage show, a puppet and shadow performance, dancing, Cantonese and Beijing opera excerpts, fortune-telling and roving entertainment.
They will be held from 7.30pm to 10.30pm at Ko Shan Road Park and Ko Shan Theatre on February 21, Tsing Yi Park on February 22, and Po Tsui Park in Tseung Kwan O on February 23.
Colourful lanterns depicting Mainland scenic spots will be displayed at the Ko Shan carnival, while a seven-metre high lantern will be erected at Tsing Yi and Po Tsui Parks from February 21 to 24.
Two magnificent lantern displays are now on show at the Cultural Centre Piazza until March 9, and on the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade until February 24.
