Nature

A close-up look at the insect world

There are more than 1 million species of insects in the world, outnumbering all other animal species. Now, a roving exhibit will open at Tai Po Waterfront Park to introduce little-known details of bugs' lives.

It will introduce 37 local and foreign insect specimens and models, and provide information on the body structure and metamorphosis of insects using text and photos.

During the two-day opening at Tai Po, a 45-minute talk will be given. Kids can also participate in educational fringe activities, such as an insect tour matching game, 3D insect puzzle and insect sliding puzzle.
