Come on a Kowloon Park tree walk!

Want to learn more about the beautiful flowering trees commonly found in Hong Kong? Be sure to visit the tree walk at Kowloon Park which opens on May 20.

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department has planted 35 trees there. All are among the most common flowering species in Hong Kong, such as the Hong Kong Orchid Tree, the Camel's Foot Tree, the Cotton Tree, the Tall Bottle-brush, and the Golden-shower.

To make the tree walk more beautiful, 150 students from five primary schools will plant 700 shrubs along the walk on May 20.

The department will also publish a book titled Tree Walk at Kowloon Park to provide detailed information on the forms, flowering seasons, characteristics and growing habits of these trees.
