Environment

Plant a tree in Asia's best park!

Have you ever been to Hong Kong Park in Central? It was just named Asia's best park by an international organisation. On December 4 you can help make the park greener by planting trees, learning about the environment through games and get a potted plant at the Family Planting Day.

The carnival, organised by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department, will run from 10am to 5pm at the park's garden plaza. Apart from planting trees and flowers, you can learn how to turn waste paper into flowers and pots, and make baskets with used nylon ropes.

You will also meet green volunteers explaining the features of different Hong Kong trees, their use and ways to take care of them. There will be souvenirs and potted plants.

Admission is free. For more information call 2723 6767 or 2521 5068.
