Internationally acclaimed chamber music ensemble the Borodin Quartet will revisit Hong Kong and give a concert on September 2 at Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall.
Currently comprising Ruben Aharonian and Andrei Abramenkov on violin, Igor Naidin on viola and Vladimir Balshin on cello, the ensemble will play Haydn's String Quartet in D, Op. 64, No. 5, 'The Lark', Beethoven's String Quartet No. 2 in G Minor, Op. 18, No. 2, Mozart's String Quartet No. 16 in E-flat, K428 and Tchaikovsky's String Quartet in B-flat.
Formed by four students from the Moscow Conservatoire in 1945, the ensemble has performed all over the world and regularly join with other distinguished musicians to further explore the chamber-music repertoire. Their partners include Yuri Bashmet, Elisabeth Leonskaja and Christoph Eschenbach.
Presented by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department, the concert will be held at 8pm on September 2. Tickets priced at $100, $150, $200 and $250 are now available at URBTIX outlets.
Senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients can get 50% off.
