The Heritage Discovery Centre will hold the Cartographic Survey of Historic Buildings Exhibition from June 6 to December 3. It will showcase Hong Kong's unique blend of exquisite historical buildings, both traditional Chinese and Victorian English.
The centre said cartographic surveying accurately records the architectural structure and features of buildings and acts as a reference for future restoration projects.
The drawings of traditional Chinese buildings on display include Tsang Tai Uk in Sha Tin (1867), Tai Fu Tai Mansion (1865), Tang Chung Ling Ancestral Hall, Kun Ting Study Hall in Ping Shan (1870) and Tin Hau Temple in Causeway Bay (18th Century).
Western buildings featured in the exhibition are Hong Kong University (1912), Central Police Station, Victoria Prison, Haw Par Mansion (1935), Kam Tong Hall (1914) and Kowloon British School in Tsim Sha Tsui (1902).
The free exhibition opens 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, and from 10am to 7pm Sundays and public holidays. It is closed Thursdays, except on public holidays.
