Clarinettist Koljonen to perform in July
Lim Kek-han

Music maestro: Lim Kek-han will conduct the China Philharmonic Orchestra's show with clarinettist John Koljonen at City Hall on July 25.

Renowned clarinettist John Koljonen will perform with the Hong Kong-based China Philharmonic Orchestra on July 25 at City Hall.

 

Under the batons of music director Lim Kek-han and guest conductor Terry Leung, the 8pm show will feature Rossini's Overture to The Barber of Seville, Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D and The 1812 Overture, Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A and Liu Tie-shan/Mao Yuan's Dance of the Yao People.

 

A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, Koljonen has enjoyed an exciting international career as principal clarinettist and soloist with big names like the American Symphony Orchestra, England's Royal Ballet and Russia's Bolshoi Ballet.
