Close ties: ICAC Commissioner Fanny Law Fan Chiu-fun (right) presents a souvenir to Chief Procurator Zhang Xunjun.

ICAC Commissioner Fanny Law has started her two-day visit in Guangzhou and Shenzhen to exchange experiences with the procuratorate and supervision authorities there.

Noting Hong Kong and Guangdong had developed close ties over the years, Mrs Law hoped her visit would further enhance mutual understanding and cooperation in anti-corruption work.

She called on the Guangdong Provincial People's Procuratorate and met Chief Procurator Zhang Xuejun. The delegation also met with senior officials of the Guangdong Supervision Bureau and Guangdong Public Security Bureau.

The ICAC has plans to update the corruption-prevention guidebooks jointly produced with procuratorate authorities earlier for businesses engaged in cross-boundary business, she said.

In Shenzhen, Mrs Law will visit the Shenzhen Municipal People's Procuratorate and the Shenzhen Municipal Supervision Bureau.

The delegation will also learn about the electronic system implemented by the Shenzhen municipal government to enhance transparency of public services.
