Senior dies in Tsing Yi accident

Police arrested a 43-year-old driver of a private car which reportedly hit and killed a 82-year-old woman in Tsing Yi on Sunday.

 

Around 5.35pm, the car was travelling along a service road near the market at Cheung Hong Estate Commercial Centre. It reportedly knocked down the woman as it made a right turn.

 

She was trapped beneath the car, and sent to Princess Margaret Hospital upon her rescue. She was certified dead at 6.37pm.

 

Police arrested the man for dangerous driving causing death.
