1 dead, 1 injured in Mong Kok crash

A 40-year-old woman died and a 30-year-old woman was injured after being hit by a taxi in Mong Kok this morning.

 

A 54-year-old man parked his taxi on Sai Yee Street near Argyle Street. When he drove off at about 5.30am, his taxi reportedly knocked down the two women as he made a left turn into Argyle Street.

 

The women were sent to Kwong Wah Hospital where the 40-year-old woman was certified dead at 5.48am.

 

The taxi driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for questioning.
