Child abduction amendment order gazetted
*

An amendment order has been gazetted to add four countries to the list of contracting states in the Child Abduction & Custody (Parties to Convention) Order, to implement the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction between Hong Kong and the four newly acceding states.

The four countries are the Republic of Albania, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of San Marino and the Republic of Seychelles.

The amendment order also replaces the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in the list of contracting states in the order with its two succeeding states, namely Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia, to reflect the dissolution of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

In accordance with the requirements of the convention, the amendment order took effect on April 1.
