Man's death reclassified as suspected homicide

Police have reclassified an attempted suicide case in Ma On Shan as suspected homicide after the death of a 22-year-old man.

 

At about 2.40am on January 25, Police received a report that a 22-year-old man had attempted to commit suicide outside Yiu On Shopping Centre in Ma On Shan.

 

He was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital in conscious state but died two days later.

 

Police received a report on January 27 that the deceased was suspected to have been assaulted. Five men, aged 16 to 20, and a 37-year-old woman were arrested in Sha Tin on January 27 and 28.
