Woman charged with infanticide

Police have charged a 28-year-old woman with infanticide in connection with the death of a newborn in Ma On Shan last night.

 

At about 8pm Sunday night, Police received a report that a baby's body had been found on a clothes-drying rack outside a flat on On Luk Street.

 

Officers found the baby boy's body with an umbilical cord still attached.

 

Police arrested the woman inside a flat on On Luk Street. She is suspected of throwing the baby out of the window after giving birth.

 

She will appear in Shatin Magistracies' Courts tomorrow.
