Man killed, 13 injured in Yuen Long bus crash

A 42-year-old man was killed and 13 other people were injured in a bus accident in Yuen Long today.

 

Around 9.10am, a bus travelling along the first lane of Tsing Long Highway Tsuen Wan-bound reportedly hit the rear end of a container truck near the Tai Lam Tunnel pay toll.

 

A man and a woman were thrown from the bus from the upper deck. They were sent to Tuen Mun Hospital where the man was certified dead at 9.54am. 

 

Another seven men and five women aged 21 to 71 were also injured. Among them, five women and two men aged 21 to 61, including the woman who was thrown out of the bus, were sent to Tuen Mun Hospital. The other five men and one woman aged 23 to 71, including the bus driver, were sent to North District Hospital.
