7 burglars caught in Kowloon City
*
Hong Kong Police

Seven Mainlanders, aged 23 to 38, have been arrested over a series of Kowloon City burglaries.

About 3.50am today officers intercepted two men leaving a Prince Edward Road West building with burglary tools in their possession. Another two were arrested at 4.40am holding $6,000 in property, including two mobile phones, two diamond rings, two watches and $200 cash, and burglary tools. Police believe they had just burgled a Hau Wong Road flat. Another pair were intercepted on Prince Edward Road at 4.20am, holding burglary tools.

Meanwhile, another man was arrested at 5am yesterday outside a Junction Road flat where officers found him with burglary tools, foreign currency and gold pieces.

All the two-way permit holders are being held for questioning. Burglary victims should call investigators on 2761 8355 or 8354.
