Tung condemns murders
*

Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa has extended his deepest condolence to the families of two young girls found killed in Yuen Long.

I am shocked and saddened to hear the deaths of two girls in Yuen Long. I condemn such brutal acts of violence and would like to extend my deepest condolence to the families of the victims.

He said he had full confidence in the Police in maintaining law and order.

The culprit will be brought to justice after investigation," he stressed.

Police officers conducted a thorough search at the surrounding areas of the stone hut in Pak Sha Tsuen where the body of a 10-year-old girl was found on Friday.

The body of another young girl was found early on Saturday in a nearby drain. It is believed that the body had been there for some time.

Police will conduct a scientific examination to ascertain the identity of the deceased.

Police are investigating the motive of the attack.
