Flat sales surge 115% in a year

A total of 12,380 sale and purchase agreements for all building units were received for registration by the Land Registry in January, up 11.4% on December and 115% year on year.

 

The total consideration of sale and purchase agreements during the month was $44.7 billion, up 4.3% on December and 139.3% year on year.

 

The 12-month moving average for January was 11,715, up 4.9% on the 12-month moving average for December and 37.7% for January last year.

 

A total of 10,656 agreements were for residential units, up 17% on December and 118.6% year on year.

 

The total consideration for the agreements was $36.2 billion, up 4.1% on December and 124.2% year on year.

 

The number of searches of land registers made by the public in January was 494,105, up 17.8% on December and 89.3% year on year.
