Pok Oi Interchange improvements proposed
*

An extra northbound lane on Yuen Long Highway at Pok Oi Interchange and a slip road linking Pok Oi Flyover southbound with Yuen Long Highway will be built, the Transport & Housing Bureau says.

The proposed works were gazetted today.

Other works include widening road sections on Yuen Long Highway southbound near Small Traders New Village and northbound near Pok Oi Roundabout, and building a segregated left turn lane southbound with a subway extension.

Some road sections will be permanently or temporarily closed, reconstructed or resurfaced. Retaining walls will be built and noise barriers modified and retrofitted. There will also be geotechnical, landscape and drainage works.

People can check the amendment plans and scheme at the Central & Western and Yuen Long District Offices and Yuen Long District Lands Office.

Anyone wishing to object to the proposed works should write to the Secretary for Transport & Housing, 16/F Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, by July 21.
