New input: Deputy Secretary for Development (Planning & Lands) Susan Mak launches the design competition to revitalise Tai O.
*

The Development Bureau is inviting entries to a design competition seeking innovative input on how to achieve a holistic plan and implementation strategy to revitalise Tai O. Registration will close April 21.

Launching the competition today Deputy Secretary for Development (Planning & Lands) Susan Mak said, given Tai O's rich natural and cultural heritage, the bureau proposes the improvement programme emphasise heritage conservation.

She said the bureau's objective is to balance development and conservation, so it will seek innovative input from local residents and those who care for Tai O's future, making it a good place to live and visit.

The competition is divided into two groups - the professional group for architects, engineers, landscape architects, planners and surveyors, and the open group for the general public.

The entry deadline is June 30. For details, click here.
