Tsing Sha Control Area tolls to be gazetted
*

The Transport & Housing Bureau will gazette the Tsing Sha Control Area (Tolls, Fees & Charges) Regulation December 21.

The Tsing Sha Control Area between Sha Tin and Cheung Sha Wan is scheduled to open in March. The bureau has proposed tolls of $12 for cars and taxis with corresponding levels for other vehicle types.

In determining tolls the bureau has taken into account factors like the strategic location of the Tsing Sha Control Area, tolls of alternative routes and public acceptability.

The regulation will be tabled at the Legislative Council January 9.
