Geotechnical Engineering Office holds open days
*
Civil Engineering & Development Department

The Geotechnical Engineering Office will hold open days at the Civil Engineering & Development Department Building in Ho Man Tin from September 27 to 29 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its establishment and the Hong Kong slope safety system.

The office will open from10am to 6pm on the days. The event will highlight the Government's efforts in improving slope safety and explain the importance of slope maintenance through display panels, models, a video show, an information kiosk and three game booths.

There will be a career corner for Civil Engineering and Earth Science graduates. A geotechnical engineer from the office's Community Advisory Unit will answer questions related to slope safety and slope maintenance on the spot from 2pm to 5pm on September 29.

For enquiries, call 1823 or visit the Hong Kong Slope Safety website.
