Hyundai 12-inch electric table fans recalled
Fire hazard: This Hyundai 12-inch electric table fan model has been recalled.
*

Consumers should stop using a model of Hyundai 12-inch electric table fans as it may pose a potential fire hazard, Electrical & Mechanical Services Department says.

A recent safety test by the department found the electric table fan, model no.FT-30A3, might overheat because of an internal component fault.

The fans had been supplied to the local market between May and July this year.

The supplier, STD (Far East) Limited, has taken the initiative to conduct a recall of the electric table fans and has placed recall notices in newspapers today and tomorrow.

Consumers are urged to return the fans to the supplier for a refund as soon as possible.

For enquiries, call the supplier's hotline at 2622 8331 or 2363 3060.
