Check in: Secretary for Transport & Housing Eva Cheng visits the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line to inspect final preparations for its commissioning on August 15.

*

Secretary for Transport & Housing Eva Cheng says the opening of the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line will bring cross-boundary passengers more choice and facilitate people flow, benefiting the economic development of Hong Kong and Shenzhen.

Visiting the spur line today, Ms Cheng inspected the final preparations for commissioning the rail service on August 15.

Accompanied by Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation Chief Executive Officer James Blake, she took a trial-run train from Fo Tan Station to Lok Ma Chau Station and toured its arrival and departure halls.

She also toured the passenger link bridge across the Shenzhen River that connects Lok Ma Chau checkpoint with Futian Port. She then visited the public transport interchange.
