A 59-year-old Tung Chung man with underlying chronic disease has died of necrotising fasciitis, the Centre for Health Protection announced today.
He had a fall on August 5, bruising his left cheek. He later came down with a fever and pain in the left thigh and right lower abdomen and was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital.
His condition deteriorated and he died yesterday.
