An 80-year-old man with underlying medical conditions is critically ill with Legionnaires' disease, the Centre for Health Protection said today.
He developed shortness of breath, a fever and a cough since July 26 and was admitted to Prince of Wales Hospital August 2.
He had no recent travel history. Investigation is ongoing.
This is the 16th case of the disease this year, with 37 reported last year.
