Toy safety appeal board panel members named

Customs & Excise

The Government has re-appointed four members and appointed six new members to the appeal board panel established under section 15 of the Toys & Children's Products Safety Ordinance.

 

Their term is for two years with effect from tomorrow. The new members are Rene Hout - its deputy chairman, scientists Dr Choi Shiu-hong and Dr Lau Kam-hing, toy-industry representative Ngan Ming-yun, and Lo Siu-kit and Annie Lo.

 

They join Chairman Cleresa Wong, scientist Prof Man Hau-chung, and toy-industry representatives Bill Chan and Chang Hon-tak.

 

The board is responsible for hearing appeals against enforcement decisions or actions taken by the Commissioner of Customs & Excise under the Toys & Children's Products Safety Ordinance.
