10 inmates volunteer for EAG work
*
Correctional Services Department

Ten Cape Collinson Correctional Institution inmates will work at the 2009 East Asian Games as volunteers.

Launching a torch relay at the institution today, Superintendent Kwong Yiu-wing said the inmates are working under the guidance of 13 Correctional Services Department officers who are also games volunteers.

"Their volunteer activities will include EAG support services at Sha Tin Rowing Centre, Shek Mun, and a band performance in Morse Park," he said. "By participating in these activities I hope the inmates realise their efforts can also contribute to the community."
