November ovitrap index falls to 1.6%
*
Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

The monthly average ovitrap index for November dropped to 1.6% from 5.7% in October, while that for port areas fell to 0% from 0.1%, the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department says.

Of the 38 areas surveyed, 15 recorded positive ovitrap indices ranging from 1.7% to 12.3%, with Tsim Sha Tsui the highest.

The department said although the index levels were relatively low, preventive measures should not be relaxed as there are still Dengue cases being reported in neighbouring places.
