HK wins 3 more Paralympic medals

Tsang Tak-sing congradulates So Wa-wai

Proud moment: Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing, Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled Chairman Jenny Fung and Secretary for Development Carrie Lam congratulate gold-medallist So Wa-wai.

Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing today congratulated the Hong Kong Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games delegation for winning three medals.

 

Upon his arrival in Beijing Mr Tsang watched So Wa-wai break the world record to win gold in the men's 200 metres event at the National Stadium, while wheelchair fencers Yu Chui-yee and Fan Pui-shan won a silver and a bronze.

 

Mr Tsang said: "We are all very impressed by the three athletes' perseverance and unfailing efforts to excel, which is a full demonstration of sportsmanship."

 

Hong Kong has scored a total of three gold, two silver and two bronze so far.
