Lotte Koala biscuits found with melamine
*
Centre for Food Safety

Three samples of Lotte Koala biscuit 200g family pack have been found to contain excessive melamine.

They are the strawberry biscuit product with an expiry date of September 26, 2009, and march chocolate biscuit and double chocolate flavour biscuit with an expiry date of January 29, 2010.

A sample of milk biscuit was also found to have an unsatisfactory melamine level.

The Centre for Food Safety today said the levels detected in the four samples ranged from 3ppm to 68ppm. It has asked shops to stop selling the products and the importer has recalled them.
