Victoria Park fair stalls let

Three fast-food stalls and 160 out of 180 wet-goods stalls at the Victoria Park Lunar New Year Fair have been let in an open auction, the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department says.

 

The average bid price for wet-goods stalls was $12,585, with the successful bids ranging from $7,840 to $46,800. The highest bid was almost six times the opening price.

 

The stalls fetched a total of $2,013,600, compared with $2,644,950 last year.

 

For fast-food stalls the bid price for the 7.6 x 4.8-metre stall was $390,000, against an opening price of $191,820, while the bid prices for the two 5 x 4-metre stalls were $310,000 and $200,000, against an opening price of $102,740.

 

The auction for the 300 dry-goods stalls will start 9.30am tomorrow at Queen Elizabeth Stadium. For details click here.
